By joining AHAA, your benefits are the ability to compete in any Branch, State, National and International level competitions held in Australia, plus the possibility of being selected for a team representing Australia at overseas events. Membership also enables you to take part in the International Horseback Archery Alliance (IHAA) Grading System.
To join, please download the required forms, fill in, sign, pay and send the forms to the Membership Officer - Naomi Crotty. Using the free Adobe Acrobat Reader fill-and-sign functionality is acceptable, so printing and scanning is not required. See the video at the bottom of this page for detailed instructions on how to use fill-and-sign.
Please allow 2 weeks for the processing of new memberships from submission of the completed membership forms to attending your first event/rally as a member. All new memberships must be reviewed and voted in by the committee before they are valid.
The Family Membership discount is available for families with three riding members ($230.00) or four or more riding members ($300.00). Each member will be required to submit a completed membership form (renewal or new membership), however one payment covers all members of the family. There is no family discount for 2 or fewer riding members, and associate memberships are already heavily discounted. For ground crew, see the section below Renewals.
Use this form to apply for Full Riding Membership or Associate Membership when you are confident in your abilities to be able to participate in rally days and events.
If you were a member of AHAA in 2025 and/or 2024 use this form to renew. If your membership has lapsed longer, please re-apply with a new membership application. List your registered horse/s on page 2 of this form. If you have trained a new horse, please include a horse registration form for it with your renewal.
Following updates to our insurance, the committee can now offer this new membership type from June 2025. Ground Crew Membership is a free, non-shooting, non-voting membership for people who want to help family members and friends at AHAA rallies and events. This form will also need to be completed by people participating as ground crew for competitions. A new form and waiver will need to be signed each year.
If you are attending a competition run by AHAA and do not wish to join as a full member of AHAA, you will need to fill out this waiver, self-assessment, and (optional) horse registration, and pay the non-member levy.
Horses that have previously been registered should be listed on the renewal form to indicate their continued registration. All new horses not previously listed on the register will need to have individual Horse Registrations submitted for each new horse. If you are completing a new membership form, or non-member levy, one horse registration is included on the last page. Only use this form to register additional horses.
If you are upgrading from an Associate Membership to a Full Membership, or are progressing from Lead Reign to riding off-lead, please complete and submit a new self-assessment. If you are a Ground Crew member, but have decided you would like to start shooting at rallies and need to become an Associate Member or Full Member, please use the New Membership Application form.
